Partnership Communication
Tichu is a partnership game, but table talk and secret signals are not allowed. Winning teams communicate through legal information and smart play.
Legal Information Only
You can only communicate through bids (Tichu and Grand Tichu), the cards you play, and the timing of your passes. Avoid any verbal hints or gestures about your hand.
Lead Management
Use the Dog to pass the lead to your partner at the right moment. Wishes from the Mah Jong can also guide the flow if they fit your partner’s exit plan.
Support vs Compete
If your partner has called Tichu, shift into support mode. If they have not, you can compete to go out first, but still avoid blocking their best combinations.
